beumer_swearing_inIt is a privilege to represent Jay, Randolph and Delaware counties in the Indiana House of Representatives. I am honored that my background in economic development has afforded me the opportunity to serve our community and state in this new capacity and contribute to a brighter future for all Hoosiers. I believe this is one of the most important issues facing our state, and it will be my top priority.

I am humbled to represent you at the Statehouse in Indianapolis. I cannot fully do my job without your input, so let’s keep an open dialogue on the issues that matter most to you. Please contact me anytime with questions, suggestions or concerns. I look forward to hearing from you!

Sincerely,

Personal Information
I grew up on a family farm in Noble Township, Jay County just a mile and half from Fort Recovery, Ohio. My father, Arnold Beumer, passed away three years ago and my mother, Eugenia Beumer, now lives in Winchester. I have five younger sisters:

  • Evelyn Arnold, Portland, Indiana
  • Chris Retter, Winchester, Indiana
  • Dorthy Garman, Fort Recovery, Ohio
  • Geralyn Male, Ansonia, Ohio
  • Angela Johnson, Hilliard, Ohio

My wife Kathy and I have lived on our family farm in the rural Modoc area for the past 26 years. Kathy is the fifth generation to live on the homestead. Kathy’s father is the late Edward Enghaus. We are both strong believers in historic preservation and farmland conservation. Aside from playing with my grandchildren, my greatest enjoyment is working in and maintaining our wooded acreage, biking and hiking.
